When the French Kids were here! (aka May 11-18)

So my class had french foreign exchange students for one week. Monday we all ate breakfast together, then Casti, Sofia and i gave them a tour of Busto. At first i thought they were really annoying and i got sick of them super fast. Mostly becuase i don't speak french and they didn't speak italian or english. SO that made it a bit hard to communicate. In the end i learned that YES they do speak some english and YES they do speak some italian, but in typical french-ness they didn't want to bother to use the other languages in the beginning. We went back to school and watched an italian movie, where italy beats france in the world soccer cup thing. so we got to rub that in their faces... Tuesday we got into school at 10, so before hand i walked around busto, then went into 1P and gave them the rest of the PB cookies from yesterday. Cerana was all pumped. I saw someone driving down the road in Somma on a 4-wheeler, so that was a fun middlefield throwback. On Wednesday Gaspa, Gio and I gave the french kids a tour of milano. I made some french friends, so that worked out. We did this huge tour over Milan, and got to see Marco Carta on Trl, which lead to some quoteable moments. He's like the David Archuleta of Italy at the moment, and Giorgia doesn't like him all that much, so i've got a few good videos of us and the random boys infront of us yelling at him. He's like super short. like shorter than me, and i'm short. So back to Marco. we walked past where they shoot TRL in milan and i asked some girl who was waiting outside who was on TRL and she looks me in the eye and yells 'MARCO CARTA PORCA TROIA!' which means like MARCO CARTA HOLY SHIT! (looooooosee translation) but she was dead serious, so that was great. then our italian teacher was making fun of one of the french kids. she goes 'He's outside like a balcony' (it sounds better in italian?!?!) We re-discovered that when you write the classic english phrase ' a pen is on the table ' all together pen and is make penis. woohoo. so we had my one a little ditzy friend read it and she didn't understand for like 5 minutes. another great video. Thursday we all went to Stresa together. i got to finally tour the islands, and the one is called Isola Bella, and there's this hhhuuuuuugeeee villa on it. so we were pretending that it was my house, and in each room the frenchies were asking me what we do in this room, so i was coming up with the randomest things. like 'in this room we sing and play guitar hero because there are about 900 carpets...' so that made the trip a bit more fun. We heard this lady giving a tour in english and she goes 'i work very better because of my english' which has turned into a class joke, but we write it all italian-ized and crazy. we also used it to do some legit accents when we all sat at a bar later in the day. Friday they were at school with us all day, and afterwards we went to Sacro Monte, but it was pouring so we just hung out in Varese. a few of us (frenchies included) went to go get kebabs. Friday night we all went out and got pizza in busto. then walked around the center and ran into like 40 other people, making us a huge group of 80 something, aimlessly wandering around busto. At the pizza place me and thomas (one of the french kids) made friends with little random italian 7 year olds, who saw me teach him the eastside, westside thing. soo that was an experience. Saturday! Ste was in Cleveland! woohoo! we went to a ski club dinner and i met a bunch of people. There was a moto fest on Sunday and we saw a fiat 500 that was dressed up like a giant tiger stuffed animal!!
