i'm finally moved in!

hey everyoneee. karen's right, i totally miss ice too. today i got a coke light and they gave it to me warm with no ice. i was like whatt!?!? but whatever. I start school tomorrow, i'm so nervous! Daniela and i have to go to the police station to get my residence permit, then i have to meet with the principal. she'll put me in a class, then we'll see if she makes me start tomorrow or not. hopefull not, but Daniela said she's not sure. tomorrow afternoon is Lucia's birthday party ( she turns the big 1-0 on the 27th) so we're all going to the pool with some of her friends. so i learned that inorder to go swimming at almost all the pools in italy not only do you need a bathing suit (duh!) but you need a swim cap too. weird, eh? so today letizia and i got up earlier (like 9 ish) and went and got coffee down the street. thennn we went to the supermarket (way overwhelming) and i used euros to buy something for hte first time! yay! super fun. school supplies were fairly cheap, but my notebook was like 3 euro. which is pricey considering its like 100 sheets? so today i learned they don't have neosporin here. i looked for it in the pharmacy store and in the supermarket, and neither place had it. so i'd like that too please, if possible. i scraped my foot up on the door yesterday, and i don't have any lotion or anything to put on it. but i'll be fine. then we went and bought more bread, copied a lot of paper's for my residence permit and came back for lunch with daniela and lucia. grandma came over again today, but later. for like 20 minutes. she didn't force feed me, but she kept saying bella bella try italiano try italiano over and over. apparently when she gets some english down, she keeps it going. but i was practicing my italian on her for a bit. i finally got all of my things moved into my room. all my clothes are put away and stuff. Ah! i miss the dryer. i know it wastes a lot of energy, but it makes our clothes so soft. and i just got my airdryed clothes back from outside, and they're very stiff. its a change. we watched ned's declassified in italian today, it was so hard to follow, even though i have seen the episode before. Daniela ran out to the supermarket, and then we're having dinner. i have to go to bed early today because of school tomorrow. I'm nervous to start, and i have to somehow find my way home. i'm about to map quest it actually. its not very far, but i feel like everything still looks the same. i really miss diet coke though. and arnie's. but hopefully i'll find a good substitute soon. the bide still creeps me out, so i don't think I'll be using it anytime soon. i saw an episode of grey's in italian last night, it was so funny to see all the characters but different voices. and they kept saying der-eeka instead of derek. quite comical. I'm going to try to update as much as a i can, but with school starting i don't know how often that will be. And considering i'm going to the hardest type of school that they have in italy, i have to learn italian on top of doing my work. i'll put my classes up here tomorrow if i can. this weekend we are going to my family's other house like an hour and a half away, so i'll try to take pictures. but i still can't figure how to get them onto the labtop. they don't have a cardreader, so i have to go get one.
