i forgot a few things, i'm making a huge list of differences, so here it goes...
they have a bide, this washer thing by the toilet. the flusher is on the wall, instead of on the toilet. the meals and the times of meals are way different. the light switches are on the outside of the room, and there is one in the room too. they close the iron curtains at night, and have giant doors instead of windows. they don't have a dryer, we hang everything outside (i did my first load of laundry today!) my dvd's don't work here, so no 10 things i hate about you. they only drink the bubbly water ( i have to ask for still water, but all they really drink is water and wine. so i've been drinking like 12 glasses of water a day). the magazine's we buy are cheaper than the ones in the US, but come with little gifts like a bracelet or whatever. They bring a bowl of water to the table to wash the fruit in instead of doing it in the sink. I dont get to choose my classes at school, and i have to take religion (most likely). The toilet paper and newpapers are a light pink color. its .it instead of .com. and the key board is different, the symbols are in different places and the y and z are switched, so i keep typing everzthing instead of everything. but thats all i have so far, but i'm sure there will be a lot more soon. Thank you for all the emails on what everyone is doing, please keep them coming, i want to know what you guys are up to! Also, the first person so send me a care package (if anyone does) please send peanut butter, i didn't bring any because i thought i'd get checked in customs and they'd take it away. But customs didn't stop any of us, so now i miss it. the nutella is awesome here though. and today Letizia and i walked around in the square, and we went to a bakery and bought this awesome bread. Also, there's a lot more graftti then i thought there would be. I saw one on the train to Milano that said MIKE MIKE MIKE and i was like ahhh! It reminded me of sarvick, kelly, kelsey, rachel and everyone. i was laughing so hard and all the other kids were like jessica?? what is it?? quality stuff. I'm trying to figure out how to get my pictures onto their computer, so i'll have pictures up on flickr soon. But i'm going to watch a movie, so hopefully I'll be back on with more information and whatnot tomorrow!
Ciao,
Jessica

You brought 10 things i hate about you with you!?!?
i love you a little bit more right now, even though your dvds don't work there.
and hahaha, you asked for peanut butter.
you would.
if i tell my family that, no doubt they'll send a case.
we'll see what happens.
-auda!
jess, here is my advice... the bidet is not for hand washing, stay away from the bidet, keep drinking lots of water ( i know i sound like your mom), so smart to have the light switches outside!, so glad you have an iron curtain-- i want one for my house too! and spend lots of time at the gelato store! send some home and maybe we will send you some peanut butter. we miss you! keep writing it makes you feel closer!

Jess, It sounds like you are having a great time so far. The initial shock and home sickness will wear off!! The bidet is a scary thing, I would not suggest it! However, it works great for washing your feet after a long day of sight seeing! Also, have you started missing ice yet? I miss you and love hearing about your adventures! Live it up, take it all in and enjoy yourself! I love you and can;t wait to see some pictures!
Hey,
Good to hear from you! Peanut Butter...LOL! Take lots of pics!!!
Yeah for peanut butter! I could have told you that you can get it through customs in your checked baggage! Haha. It's weird not hearing you in the hallways like I have for the past two years. I don't really like it.
